My good little cat. With all this snow outside I REALLY don't want to go out there. Yes I know landscapes with snow can be some of the most beautiful out there, but come on it's freaking cold! With out further introduction here is one of our cats, Zeus. He is the trouble maker....



One thing I love about my son is that he LOVES to take pictures. So I always like to give him the camera to have some fun with and all he wanted to tonight was take pictures of me making scary faces haha

Stupid internet issues! I was trying to upload this last night after the Superbowl but for some reason my internet just decided to go back to the 56k days and not do anything.

No I didn't go, so no I don't have pictures from it haha It snowed this morning and so I ran outside and snapped a couple pics. I had the world hardest time getting the damn focus on the snow.

Went for a little drive with my son to take some pictures this afternoon while my wife was away at work. The clouds were being very allusive and not wanting me to get a good shot with a beautiful sky in it, nothing but haze everywhere...Until we started heading back home! The clouds still weren't really the most colorful but I just love it when the sun peeks out from behind a cloud and can give you a nice lens flare.

Here are some more pictures from my little adventure with my son today. The amount of processing that I have to do in order to hide the flaws in this camera is crazy. It really motivates me to start saving some money to buy a new camera...But the best camera you have is the one you have with you!

DOWNTOWN! Even though downtown is rather small to me, spent 11 years in Chicago, I still love walking around. Denver really is a very pretty city, and there aren't really any parts where I would feel uncomfortable walking around at night.

Well it's another day! I took some pictures today but none of them are really worthy of sharing...I guess creativity failed today, oh well. I have been feeling crazy burnt out lately for some reason.

So I want to share something with you. I LOVE taking pictures, especially if it's someone and their car, bike, toy or whatever. It's always a fun time and a great bonding experience. I really need to find more people who would let me take their pics of them and their cars, bikes, atv's, trucks hell I don't care. I just hope it has a motor haha This is an old friend of mine Austin's Honda cafe racer bike, that we took up to Olde Town Morrison to take some pictures. I know I promised an actual picture today. But instead I decided I wanted to share some things with you. First, a really bad ass knife that my sister once gave me from a trip to France. I can't remember what year she brought this back for me but it has to be 10+ years. It's more of a prop rather than a knife because the edges of it are rather dull.
















Okay I thought it might be pretty neat to show you my desk. As you can see I kind of have a thing for Star Wars. I try to surround myself with things that are creative and fun. This allows me to kind of drift off from time to time and think about other things. By doing that I can usually free up my mind and keep my creative juices flowing. Hopefully you find it interesting.

I have been terrible at this...I promise tonight I will take some actual time and thought into my next picture. Sorry for the repetitiveness of my pictures as of late. One of the biggest reasons I wanted to do this was to test my creativity and to get my ass off of the couch and actually go take photos.

Well tonight I wanted to focus on texture. I have this huge "antique" french clock in my house. I use the quotes around antique because it was bought from Pottery Barn ha. It's still a badass clock though and I love it.

If doing this project in such a short time has taught me anything thus far, it is that I really miss taking pics of cars / bikes & anything with a motor.

 Okay, so I basically missed this entire 365 project this weekend because I won a trip the winter X Games in Aspen from 7 News and ESPN. It was a crazy weekend! I got to see Snoop Dogg, Chromeo & Skrillex. I was supposed to go see Wiz today but after the past couple days I was way to tired and drained from everything and decided to head home unfortunately. Anyways, enjoy a couple pics from the weekend.

Okay so this posting is a little bit of a cheat. I still took a photo today but not this one. This one is from a trip my wife took and I just processed(read as edited) the photo today. Words cannot describe how much I miss NYC.

Okay now that I have posted and bragged about that! This shot from tonight is my Nike boots after I got home from work! I tried to capture them when they had a lot of snow on them, but unfortunately it took me a little to long to set up my camera and get all the settings down correctly. I could of gone out and got more snow on them but I didn't want this picture to be too 'staged'.

I have come down with a nasty bug, hence why I didn't take a picture yesterday. Today it was a spur of the moment thing with my son. We took a bunch of pictures with him doing different things. I really liked this one. The only issue is that I didn't catch his eyes in focus, just the damn umbrella handle. Oh well win some lose some.

Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow so I can actually go out and take some pictures.

Welp today I shot a picture of some of the juice that I freshly squeezed myself. Okay so I had some help from the juicer that my wife bought me for Christmas last year. I think it was a total of 4 oranges & 2 apples, with a dash of cayenne pepper for some kick.

I have been trying to mess around with light, light sources and various angels. Today I placed a small cup of juice on top of my phone so it would light up the bottom of the juice and the glass. I thought it turned out pretty neat, especially when it was zoomed in at 100%. So what you see below is a 100% view crop of the photo that I took.

I am a day late on this post!! So there will be two done today.

Last night I messed around with lighting a flower using the screen on my phone as a source light. I took 3 different exposures and masked them on top of each other to get the look I was wanting.

I feel like this photo is ALMOST 100% it's just missing one more exposure where the light would be coming from the right.

Today is a photo of my cat. Just an FYI the camera that I use is a Minolta Maxxum 5D, basically if you don't know anything about camera's, the phone in your pocket probably takes pics with higher megapixels haha

I really really want to buy one of the new Sony a7II and jump up to the goodness that is full-frame! The noise test and all out performance of those bad boys is just amazing. I have thought many times about switching over to Nikon/Cannon but I just can't justify leaving Sony when they seem to be the game changers lately. Also, they allow you to use a wide variety of lenses with their adapters, which is pretty sweet.

Anyways, onto the picture!

Today I met my newest nephew. He is 8lb 10oz 21 inches and born on January 12th. His name is Jackson, It's really to bad he wasn't born today because he is named after my wifes uncle who passed away last year and today is his birthday so it would of been perfect.

On a side note I messed up a little bit at work which makes me re-think a lesson I learned awhile ago - "Do not fear your mistakes, learn from them and do everything you can to not repeat."

This is where I will be sharing the adventure that is my 365 project. My project is the seemingly simple yet very hard task of taking a photo a day for a year. I am also tacking on the task of making a blog entry for each photo, granted I am starting the blog part a little late...oops.
